Football is a highly influential and most followed sport activity and it yields multiple benefits to those who get to interact with it. Taking part in our Leagues has the following benefits:
Due to the nature of five-a-side football, that taking part work closely together as the game is played in an enclosed pitch with high tempo. The need to win every match brings members together to plan and work together to achieve good results over opponents. In a period of 19 weeks, it is enough for participants to develop key value-based team skills which will improve the work place environment.
With a pool of more than 80 teams taking part, participants have opportunity to network with other members of the league coming from various sectors of the economy.
The League is highly followed and participants gain a lot of mileage through our various active social media platforms, Radio, television, website as we share results and Log standings every day. We have a good daily print of more than 500 people visiting the Centre for various engagements and close to 300 are spectators and players.
The League comprises of both Corporate and Social teams for both genders.
Teams are further placed under 5 League streams being Monday Night Ladies League (10 teams), Monday Night Over-40 league, Tuesday Night Second Division League, Wednesday Night First Division League and Thursday Night Premier League Night.
Each League stream comprises of 20 teams and a team plays 19 League matches for the season.
A Season lasts for a period of 5 months.
Games are played from Monday to Thursday between 1800 and 2200 hrs.
A team plays 1 match/week. Game time is 40 minutes of 20 minutes a half with 3 minutes break in between. (More details included in Rule Book).
Games are officiated by professionally trained referees.
The games are played according to the rule book.
At the end of every season the Top 4 teams from each League are brought together for to play a knock out tournament where the teams will battle it out for the ultimate championship.
